A lot of people scoffed when footballer Vinnie Jones decided to pursue and acting career after his retirement, but for a while it looked like they might be forced to eat their words. After making his big screen debut in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Jones made the jump to Hollywood and experienced almost instant success.

His next three movies were all box office hits, and saw him rubbing shoulders onscreen with Brad Pitt, Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, John Travolta, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry. However, the wheels started coming off soon after, and his last major role Stateside remains his widely-mocked turn as Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand.

Jones retreated to the bargain bin, where he's remained ever since, churning out dozens upon dozens of films that utilize his particular, if limited, talents. He might have slowed down from his 2013-2015 peak when he was making up to eight movies a year, but he can still be found scraping the barrel of the action genre, and even found the time to appear in period-set Indian political thriller The Gandhi Murder as knight of the realm Norman Smith.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
