As soon as John Wick: Chapter 4 was released, many were left wondering precisely who played Killa, the portly German member of the High Table who has quite the unforgettable brawl with John (Keanu Reeves) in a nightclub.
Who the hell was this German character actor that came totally out of nowhere and almost stole the entire damn movie? Not a German character actor, for a start.
No, Killa was actually played by legendary martial artist Scott Adkins, best known for his role in the cult action franchise Undisputed.
Adkins reportedly spent three and a half hours each day being fitted into a fat suit and covered in prosthetics to make him resemble a larger gentlemen, all while sporting a thick German accent which couldn't be further from his native British twang.
Despite all the physical encumbrances, Adkins was still able to showcase his agility and lightning fast combat skills, even if you probably had no idea who it was underneath all that makeup.
