10 Actresses Who Could Play Captain Marvel

10. Katee Sackhoff

Let's get the obvious one out of the way first. Long before the announcement for Captain Marvel was even made, fans online were practically petitioning for Katee Sackhoff to play her. Aside from bearing a strong resemblance to Carol Danvers, perhaps the most appealing thing about Sackhoff in the role is that she already has the geek credibility, with her stint as Kara Thrace on Battlestar Galactica. And her portrayal as Dahl in 2013's Riddick shows she has the physicality required to play an immensely-powered character. Not to be disparaging, but she's still relatively under the radar as far as Hollywood stars go, and would be much easier for Marvel to lock into a multi-film contract should she decide to accept the role. The campaign for Katee to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in full-force, and it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if Marvel reaches out to her in the very near future to discuss the role.
