7. Isabel Kills Herself - Bad Boys For Life

Bad Boys for Life's final showdown ends with the villainous Isabel Aretas (Kate del Castillo) being shot by Mike's (Will Smith) cop ex-girlfriend Rita Secada (Paola Núñez) and falling into the fiery palace lobby below.

But co-director Adil El Arbi confirmed that a grimmer iteration of this ending was originally on the cards, with Isabel actually jumping into the fire voluntarily after accidentally shooting her son Armando (Jacob Scipio) and believing herself to have killed him. Furthermore, she tries to take Mike, who is Armando's father, with her:

"When she sees that all is lost, she wants to jump into the fire willingly, and she wants to take Mike Lowrey with her. Because, you know, she thinks the son is dead, so let's all die together...That was a version that was pretty epic and pretty Greek tragedy. It was too much, maybe [but] we'll never know."

It certainly would've added some dishy drama to an already intense finale, and given the film's R rating probably wouldn't have felt especially out of place.
