1. Little Shop Of Horrors: Audrey II Takes Over The World
This one will really knock your socks off... Frank Oz's rock musical Little Shop of Horrors alternative ending couldn't be more different than the theatrical one. It looks way more expensive too, but that isn't why it was omitted.
In the cinematic cut, the giant fleshing eating plant Audrey II meets an electrifying end at the hands of Rick Moranis's florist Seymour, who rescues his love interest Audrey so the pair can live happily ever after.
That's the epitome of dull compared to the alternative, which sees Audrey II devour the pair and go on to conquer America, city by city. The horticultural horror goes on an epic, B-movie style rampage, levelling cities, swallowing trains and battling the military.
It always makes a refreshing change seeing the bad guys win, especially when said bad guy is a gigantic, man-eating plant.
Unfortunately, a test audience didn't agree, so Oz was forced to go with the vanilla finale, against his better judgement.
