Why You Probably Haven't Seen It: Just look at the title. LOOK AT IT. How do those words even function together? What could that string of nonsense possibly mean? How does that weird title have anything to do with Forest Whitaker wearing a hoodie??

It also doesn't help that it was directed by famous auteur Jim Jarmusch, who loved nothing more than providing coffeehouse fodder for young hipsters in the 90s. If, by some miracle, you have seen this, it was probably out of morbid curiosity while you were at least three different kinds of intoxicated.

Why You Should: Well, why don't we just let this mind-blowing plot summary tell you why you'd be dumb to avoid Ghost Dog:

An African American mafia hit man who models himself after the samurai of old finds himself targeted for death by the mob.

Honestly, I'm not even sure why you're still reading this article at this point and haven't begun frantically searching for this movie on Netflix, but to each their own.

Seriously though, this is a samurai flick that fancies itself - or at least its main character - in the mold of all those Kurosawa movies from the 50s, but also throws in every bizarre and darkly comedic twist it can.

And Forest Whitaker is a total bird-loving badass.
