5. A 'Forever Changed' Tony Stark
There are a lot of questions surrounding Tony Stark's role in Avengers 4. Will Robert Downey Jr play him again after that amid contact uncertainty? Will he be killed off, and why was Doctor Strange so adamant he survived the events of Infinity War?
The answers are unlikely to be revealed until the movie's release next year, but one thing we do know about Stark is that he won't be the same as before. Speaking via the Infinity War Blu-ray commentary track, the Russo Brothers revealed that watching Spider-Man turn to dust in his arms has "changed Tony forever".
Exactly what that means is uncertain, though it could indicate that he's willing to go to any length to get even with Thanos, or perhaps stopped being Iron Man altogether.
The leaked set photos from Avengers 4 offer a few hints about Stark's role in the movie. One shows him garbed in a S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform with a new blonde hairdo, and another in the same clothing he wore in the original Avengers.
So it looks like Tony will be a part of those time travel sequences, but that doesn't explain the S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, since he was never an agent and the organisation itself was toppled in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Maybe Stark reformed it in the wake of Infinity War. Either that or it's some kind of parallel universe.
