10 Awesome Found Footage Horrors That Are Better Than Paranormal Activity

1. The Blair Witch Project

The Blair With Project is one of the better known "Found Footage" style of films, and was released in 1999. The film, which received enormously positive reception by critics and went on to gross over $248 million worldwide, follows a group of film students (they never learn, do they?) as they investigate the fables "Blair Witch" legend, which tells of a man named Rustin Parr who abducted young children, took them to his cabin in the woods, tortured and then murdered them, later pleading insanity for the crimes and claiming he was possessed by Elly Kedward, a witch hanged in the 18th century. Not content with just hearing of this horror story, the group set out to prove the legend is real via camera and recording equipment, and all invariably end up dead, just like all the rest.
