10 Awesome Horror Movie Villains With One Stupid Weakness

8. Jason Voorhees - Freddy Vs. Jason

After years of rumblings, 2003 finally saw Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees face off in the aptly named Freddy vs Jason. And for the most part, this battle of the behemoths is an extremely fun popcorn horror.

However, one thing that ruffled the feathers of some Friday the 13th fans, was how Freddy vs. Jason made Voorhees afraid of the water. More specifically, the trauma of drowning in the original Friday the 13th came to the fore.

While this does offer a weakness for Freddy Krueger to exploit, it totally goes against what had been seen in the Friday the 13th franchise. In fact, one could argue that Jason thrived in a water environment, with several of the series' kills taking place in or around water - all without Voorhees getting into any sort of a panic.

So, for those traumatic memories to only now surface, and for water to only now be a problem, that jars with what had been seen in previous movies, with only Jason Takes Manhattan having even mildly touched on water being a problem - although even then, one part of that movie sees Jason literally swim to Manhattan.
