And finally, there's the Super Bowl trailer for Ted 2, which wasn't just content to make a sly reference to the sporting event, but roped in the New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady for a cameo appearance. The trailer starts with Ted informing John that he and his wife Tami-Lynn are going to have a baby, and of course, they need a donor. Cut to Ted and John breaking into Brady's house in order to give him a handjob in his sleep to secure some of his seed for Tami-Lynn. As the two stare at Brady's golden genitals in amazement, Ted says, "...and that's at rest", at which point Brady wakes up, kicks John out and throws Ted at him. All John can do is express amazement at how Brady threw Ted in a perfect spiral. Though expectations are still pretty low for Ted 2 and there's a good chance this teaser gave away a 3-minute skit from the movie for free, it did at least bring the laughs, and suggests the film might not be a total bust, if surely lesser than the original.
