10. Freddy VS. Jason (2003)

But who would win in a mano a mano competition? Well, go check the movie, if you want to find out. The film itself won't rank among the genre's best, but two immortals trying to kill each other and failing every time makes for some pretty funny stuff. As far as overkill is concerned, the helpless teenagers of the movie usually end up in really bad shape. At the beginning of the movie, Jason enters a room where a young couple just had some good time. While the girl is away and the guy is lying on the bed, he stabs him with his famous machete. We see the blade penetrating all the way through the mattress, tearing his guts out. But the hockey-masked killer is a conscientious worker, with great attention to detail. And while his victim is still convulsing on the bed after he already stabbed him a dozen times, he grabs the bed by both ends and folds it, snapping the guy in half - just to be sure.
