Thor almighty, who doesnt want to have a pet dragon? Toothless is the legendary Night Fury dragon known for its lightning fast speed, intelligence and rarity. During a battle between the Viking village and the raiding dragons; Hiccup, an embarrassment to his father, manages to capture the dragon in a desperate attempt to prove himself. However, hes unable to kill it and instead sets it free, but the dragon is far too injured to fly away. Hiccup names the dragon Toothless and the two form a bond that helps him and the Viking tribe finally understand the misunderstood creatures. The friendship is the most charming part of the film. It starts off rocky at first, with Toothless mistrust of humans stopping Hiccup from getting close to him. Over time, Hiccup studies the dragon and slowly starts to form a deeper understanding of their nature. Hiccup eventually gains Toothless trust after feeding him regularly while also managing to develop a prosthetic tail for the injured dragon allowing it to fly again. The two hit it off, and when Hiccups leg is amputated as a result of a battle against the evil dragon, he is fitted with a prosthetic of his own and the two become kindred spirits. The bond aside, it would just be cool to have a pet dragon that can solve nearly every single issue you face in life. Running late? Just hop on your dragon and fly without the worry of traffic.
