6. The Electric Lady - Strange Darling

Terrifier 3 Art the Clown

This next death scene isn't remotely flashy or gratuitous, but it's nevertheless extremely well executed - pardon the pun.

Strange Darling's antagonist is a serial killer known only as The Electric Lady (Willa Fitzgerald), who targets people that she envisions as devils rather than human beings.

But at the very end of the movie, the wounded Lady is picked up by a woman in a truck, and as she stares into the truck's wing mirror, she appears to see a devil staring back at her.

A moment later, the Lady raises her gun to the trucker, who responds by pulling her own gun and mortally shooting the Lady.

The final three minutes of the film are then an unbroken, locked-off shot of the Lady succumbing to her wounds as the trucker drives her to the nearest hospital.

It's an exquisitely well-acted sequence by Willa Fitzgerald, as all colour drains out of the frame and the Lady finally expires, before we abruptly cut to the credits.

It may not be as wild as most other entries on this list, but it sure is impactful and effective.
