stars the dapper duo Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal who play Julio and Tenoch. The teenagers embark on a road trip with Luisa, a beautiful woman in her late twenties. The boys girlfriends have gone off on a trip across Europe and the boys are eager to gain some adventures of their own.
Where are they going? Julio and Tenoch meet Luisa at a family wedding and promise her a secret beach, Boca Del Cielo. The only problem is neither of them have any idea where this beach is. Luisa joins them because she is eager to escape her devastating secret: she has a terminal illness and she will die soon. She wants her last days to be as fulfilling as possible and she believes the youthful boys will provide her with some final excitement and adventure. Embarking for a fictional destination our travellers set off and drive through rural run-down Mexico. Whilst on the road there is a lot of playful boy-banter that leads to many secret sexual encounters coming to the surface; the boys have both betrayed each other by sleeping with each others girls. They are also both intent on sleeping with Luisa who in giving them what they desire shows how they are both as inexperienced and awkward as each other in the bedroom. The trip threatens to fall apart when the boys cannot stop arguing but Luisa steps in, imposes her own rules and makes the trip work the way she wants it to. Their journey goes on and leads to the inevitable: a sexual experience between the boys that ends the trip, their friendship and plunges them straight back into reality. Luisa is left on an idyllic beach with a fisherman's family, her pursuit of peace and fulfillment is the only thing that remains.
