7. The Terminator (1984) The Outer Limits: Demon With A Glass Hand (1964)
In the 1960s, celebrated sci-fi writer Harlan Ellison wrote two scripts for the US television series The Outer Limits, both of which bear uncanny similarities to James Camerons later smash hit movie, The Terminator, from 1984. A subsequent court case ruled in favour of Ellisons complaint of plagiarism, regarding his Soldier script, in which two super-soldiers are transported back from the future, to the present, only to end up fighting, on rival sides, for the lives of a father and his family. However, in terms of set-pieces, this famous image of Arnold Schwarzenegger revealing his robotic arm is visually extremely similar to Ellisons other Outer Limits script: Demon with a Glass Hand, in which aliens from the future travel back in time to locate an amnesiac cyborg
