10 Awful Horror Movies With One Brilliant Kill

8. Creepshow 2 - Rachel

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers John Strode
Warner Bros. Pictures

As much as horror fans wanted to enjoy Creepshow 2, the sad truth of the matter is that this 1987 anthology offering was and is a plodding, dull collection of short stories that fails to get anywhere even close to the quality of George A. Romero's Creepshow. That said, at least Creepshow 2 isn't Creepshow 3, for that's a whole over level of trash.

Adapted from Stephen King's 1982 short story, it's The Raft that gets spotlighted here. The second of three mini-movies that make up Creepshow 2, this tale sees four college kids suddenly stalked by a mysterious black blob as they take refuge on a raft in the middle of your typical lake.

By the end of The Raft, all four of our protagonists have been consumed by what has since become known as the Lake Blob by horror fans. It's the first of these deaths that is the most gnarly, though, with Rachel (Page Hannah) devoured in gloriously gooey fashion by this creature.

Visually, Rachel's demise looks all kinds of brilliantly brutal, and that is only added to by Hannah's character begging for help and proclaiming how "it hurts".
