10 Awful Movies That Opened On Independence Day Weekend

2. Problem Child 2 (1991)

Problem Child 2

What can you say about Problem Child 2 that hasn't already been said about liver failure - an enormously unpleasant, painful experience that you'd do anything to put an end to. The film currently holds an 8% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is probably about 7% too much. The plot revolves around the child who annoyed people in the first film befriending another child when he moves school. The new child is also annoying. Still, if you enjoy watching people vomit then this is definitely worth a look as, if memory serves, that's pretty much the only joke in the film. There is also a scene where the kid films his babysitter having sex, then broadcasts it to the neighbourhood, but that's just really weird. The fact this is supposed to be a family comedy makes it even more peculiar. I think someone might get their ass blown off with a firework too, but maybe I was just watching a 30 year old episode of You've Been Framed. Still, at least the delightful John Ritter found his future wife on set, in the form of also delightful Amy Yasbeck.
