9. Quentin Tarantino - Pulp Fiction
One of the greatest films of all time intertwined several tales across Los Angeles, using fast-paced, electrifying dialogue mixed with violence and humour. A highly stylized and unique film, it revitalised the career of John Travolta and featured excellent performances from Samuel L Jackson, Christopher Walken and Uma Thurman. The man that bought the glittery fantasy to life however, threatens to drag it down with a small cameo. Tarantino has a history of appearing for small periods in his own films, but none have quite been as uncomfortable as this. His racist slur is simply awkward to watch and his performance is the one black mark on a truly superb film.
