10 Awful-Sounding Sequels That Have No Business Being Made

4. Grown-Ups 2 Release Date: 2013 Remember when Grown-Ups was the best film of 2010, picking up a huge commercial return as well as delighting the critics and fans so much that there was a major campaign to release a sequel with the same cast of actors, and probably the same moronic commitment to lewd jokes and falling over? No, me neither. And yet Adam Sandler and his friends (including Kevin James and David Spade, of COURSE) have reunited for another go at making someone laugh, since they didn't quite manage it with the first film. Dennis Dugan returns in the director's chair, continuing his trend for only making poor Adam Sandler flicks and apparently not caring that the world of comedy probably now hates him even more for the travesty that was Jack & Jill. There is no explanation for this happening, other than thanks to the whims of the cast - and the minute film-makers start just making films for their own pleasure, and ignoring the reactions of the outside world, is the minute they should consider giving up entirely. Quite how a studio decided this was a goer is about the single most baffling query in recent cinematic history.
