10 Bad Movies That Prove Nostalgia Is For Idiots

6. Mortal Kombat (1995)

Johnny-Cage-Scorpion Ahhh, yes, Mortal Kombat; who doesn't have fond memories of the Sega Genesis video game? Remember how your parents hated the game for all its violence. Remember the €œblood€ code and that incredibly difficult final boss? When news spread that they were going to bring Rayden, Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Sub Zero, Scorpion and all your favorite characters, your adolescent heart almost couldn€™t handle the awesomeness. As a kid, despite the fact that the movie was rated PG-13 still felt like the most gruesome fighting movie you€™ve ever seen. You thought Johnny Cage was just completely badass and you had a crush on Sonya Blade. As a adult, Johnny Cage is still pretty badass and Sonja Blade is still pretty damn sexy. However the rest of the movie doesn€™t hold up all that well. The plot is mind-numbingly simplistic (so is the game, I guess), the dialogue is hilariously horrible and the acting is fairly questionable. I choose not to mention Mortal Kombat: Annihilation due to the fact that my nerves cant handle it.
