3. Mom And Dad Save The World (1992)
Mom and Dad Save the World is about an other worldly evil emperor (Jon Lovitz) who transports a wife (whom he intends to marry) and husband to his planet. The two soon become freedom fighters of sorts. As a kid Lon Lovitz was one of the funniest comedians you had ever heard. You would watch the Simpsons and then Lovitz in the animated show The Critic. The movie had plenty of aliens and fight scenes to keep you entertained. You thought it was a genuinely good movie. As an adult, well, Jon Lovitz is still admittedly pretty funny but the movie is just terrible. The movie features a bunch of freedom fighters who are portrayed as idiots but it seems like they were the ones really responsible for producing this catastrophe. The film also features Kathy Ireland in a lot of reveling outfits which may be one of the films few redeeming qualities.
