10 Belated Film Sequels Hollywood Should Never Make

9. Three Men And A Middle Aged Divorcee

Groundhog Day
Warner Bros.

The Original:

Three Men And A Baby (1987). Three bachelors have to change their partying ways and adopt to family life when a baby called Mary arrives on their doorstep. With no mother figure on the scene the three muddle through the job of co-parenting... with hilarious consequences!

The film was 1987’s biggest box-office hit and has already spawned a successful sequel, 1990's Three Men And A Little Lady.

The Sequel:

After her marriage falls apart Mary, played by Melissa McCarthy, returns home for some TLC from her three dads who, via the powers of plot contrivance, are all still living together.

Of course, without a mother figure around the hapless trio are well meaning but hilariously inept at offering support. Still, they do at least get to reprise their stunning a cappella version of Goodnight Sweetheart.
