7. Nightmare Before Christmas - It's Okay To Ruin Christmas As Long As You Did Your Best
Jack Skellington, I have to admit, you're awesome. Your voice, your face, your everything. I love it to death. However, did you stop to think for a moment that you completely ruined Christmas? That's pretty rough, man. I get that it was culture shock and you didn't mean for any of it to happen, and ultimately, everything was set right. But...like...you gave a kid a severed head. Admittedly, Poor Jack is one of my favorite songs. When I'm feeling low, or like I've failed, it's almost impossible to hear that song and not be cheered up. In fact, I'd recommend it for just about any situation. If you've screwed up at work, broken up with a significant other, or watched a special project come crashing down around you. "What the heck, I went and did my best!" is an inspiring and uplifting line that makes the best of a bad situation and encourages the listener not to give up and to keep trying. It's perfect for virtually every scenario
except giving kids heads. I mean, for frig's sake, the military had to get involved. They shot Jack out of the sky because he was such a terror. In fact, the Pumpkin King has more in common with Futurama's Santa-bot than the actual St. Nick. Perhaps we should see some form of legal action taken against Mr. Skellington to distinctivize him from doing it again. Just make sure he's not taken to the same court Kris Kringle was. Of course, kidnapping Santa without consequences is almost nothing compared to...
