Isn't it about time the devil spawn/haunted womb sub-genre was retired after so many attempts to remake Rosemary's Baby? Pretty much none have worked, and this found footage horror shouldn't have been allowed to try again.
Recycling old horror cliches couldn't mask the wider issues, and the found footage approach meant that there was absolutely no commitment to atmosphere, which is why it plainly wasn't scary.
