9. Zoolander 2 (2016)

Benedict Cumberbatch may only have a cameo in this belated comedy sequel, but it's a memorable one so it makes the list.

Cumberbatch plays "All", a fashion icon of ambiguous gender and sex, who claims to encompass, well, all. The most memorable moment of his cameo is descending from the sky in a metal bird costume, complete with leather S&M gear, and whipping Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Yup.

Honestly, though, it's the controversy surrounding Cumberbatch's role that made more headlines than the role itself, with many criticising him for taking a part that seemed to be mocking the trans movement.

Cumberbatch, of course, vehemently denied any such intent, and is probably now thinking the part was more trouble than it's worth. Still, nobody saw Zoolander 2, so he's basically safe.
