This $130 million critical and box office dud is one of those movies you probably forgot you saw several years ago, and subsequently weren't even sure if you just dreamt it or not.

R.I.P.D. thoroughly wastes a promising Jeff Bridges-Ryan Reynolds team-up on a grotesquely over-budgeted Men in Black ripoff, which fails to make good on its stars' considerable charisma due to a painfully unfunny script.

Even the action isn't particularly interesting, afflicted by bargain basement visual effects, while the film's overall whiff of franchise desperation only makes it that much more unappealing.

Of his time spent shooting the film, Bridges said, "I had such a great time working on that movie", and as conventional wisdom goes, the more fun a movie is to make, the crappier it ends up being.
