10 Best & 10 Worst Movies Of The Decade (Year-By-Year)

16. 2012's Best - Skyfall

Skyfall Silva Javier Bardem

The Avengers might have been the biggest film of the year, but the best was the best Bond film in a long time. Buoyed by an excellent - but all-too-easy-to-criticise - Adele theme, Skyfall isn't just a masterful 007 film, it's a truly great story assisted hugely by great performances.

Javier Bardem is deeply chilling as Silver - a villain with more personal stakes and a real threat - Judy Dench is best ever as M and Daniel Craig blows off the cobwebs of the awful, misguided Quantum Of Solace to give us a rounded, wounded animal Bond - and it's all peppered with exceptional set pieces.
