8. Alien: Covenant - The Neomorph Hatches

Covenant crew member Ledward is rushed back to the lander's med-bay after becoming exposed to alien spores on the uncharted planet the crew is exploring.

Shortly thereafter, Ledward begins convulsing and a Neomorph brutally bursts from his back before mauling Karine to death.

Faris then attempts to subdue the creature, but her shotgun blasts explode flammable canisters on the lander, causing her own death.

Nearby, an infected Hallett has a Neomorph burst from his throat, and a fleet of the creatures then attack the remaining crew members in the dark field. They're saved only when android David shows up and manages to scare the Neomorphs off.

Though there's a lot to complain about in this movie, this sequence was as intense and visceral as Covenant ever got, thanks to some grotesque gore and unsettling new creature designs.
