10 Best Animated Movie Sequels

So many of us have grown up with Andy and his toys, and the third instalment in the Toy Story franchise felt like the perfect end to this tale. Opening perfectly with that scene that called back beautifully to the first movie way back in 1995, 15 years later we see Woody, Buzz and the gang dealing with a now grown-up Andy and how that impacts on their all-important playtime.

An action-packed adventure ensues at Sunnyside Day Care, leading to a truly tear-jerking moment (don't tell me you weren't weeping like a baby in the cinema the first time you watched that too), and a beautiful ending. Plus, there are plenty of Easter eggs to keep even the most devoted fan busy - remember Sid the garbage man?

Winning a well-deserved Oscar in 2011, as well as a BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critic's Choice, and more, Toy Story 3 scores an must-watch 98% Rotten Tomatoes - almost as perfect as Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Even though there is just 2% in it, the pure nostalgia and succinct wrapping-up of Andy's story after 15 years pushes this to the top of our list. Thanks guys. (I'm not crying, you're crying).
