Bill freakin' Murray, man. Murray's Frank Cross, a heartless television executive (is there any other kind) gets stuck in his own nightmarish version of Dicken's classic A Christmas Carol in 1988's Scrooged, which was a dark Christmas comedy ahead of its time (the next couple of entries on this list all came later, after all). The ghosts are there, and so is Tiny Tim - but this is not your grandfather's Christmas Carol. A perfect send-up of the Christmas season, the entertainment industry, and the Dicken's story itself, Scrooged is can't-miss fare at this time of year.
