The Huns, led by Shan Yu, were a brutal bunch. They raped, pillaged, and burned their way through an entire movie, and by the time that Captain Shang and his rag tag group of soldiers confronted the Huns, total destruction seems like a foregone conclusion. The sequence of the Huns descending down the mountain slope was revolutionary at the time - a perfect blend of traditional, hand-drawn animation, and CGI technology. Whats particularly fantastic about this death scene is that Mulan does not rely on strength or fighting prowess - she relies on her brain to find the most efficient, gutsy solution.
