10 Best Film Directors With Less Than 5 Films

1. Jordan Peele

Lady Bird Greta Gerwig Saorsie Ronan

Comedian Jordan Peele may have surprised a lot of people when he chose a horror film as his genre of choice for his directorial debut, people were even more surprised when it proved to be as extraordinary as it ended up being. Not in several years, has a feature film debut proved to be as culturally and societally impactful as Get Out was.

Quickly becoming a phenomenon and changing the game for social horror, Get Out managed to keep its hype and goodwill going almost a full year from when it released to the Academy Awards where Peele got a Best Director nomination and won for his original screenplay.

His second film titled Us may have fallen apart logistically but the theming was still strong as were the thrills and performances. Peele feels like he has managed to transition into horror seamlessly and the genre welcomes him.

His versatility at writing comedy and horror shows the kind of range he has as a filmmaker and he is likely to have a storied and successful career in the field.
