10 Best Horror Films To Watch On Netflix This Halloween

The Film:

Out of all the scary movies on Netflix to enjoy this Halloween, you won’t find one quite like The Keep. Here you have a film set in a Romanian village, which looks eerily like a Welsh quarry (because it is), a young Gabriel Byrne marching around in a Nazi death squad uniform and Tangerine Dream blaring out some synth beats – constantly.

It’s a bizarre and often brilliant take on F. Paul Wilson’s influential horror novel, where Hitler’s finest have their deeds thwarted by an ancient evil. Featuring an another early role from Ian McKellan and some still impressive monster design work – the strutting beast Molasar is iconic enough for this movie to be given the remake treatment – this one needs to be seen to be truly believed.

Big Scare:

Molasar is awoken and struts out to scare us all. A great mix of special effects and a thudding score evoking terror.
