In this Argentinian horror, brothers Pedro and Jimmy discover the disembowelled corpse of a Cleaner. In this world, Cleaners are tasked with disposing of possessed people known as Rottens.

As disgusting as this is, it's nothing compared to what comes next, as Pedro and Jimmy enter a shack soon after, which contains a Rotten called Uriel. Even though possessed characters are often depicted as pale and slightly demonic in most films, this guy looks like something out of a nightmare. Uriel's bloated and slimy body is infested with discoloured contusions, infected growths, and pus-filled boils. Upon picking the Rotten up, a gloopy bile-like substance seeps from his body, reinforcing the fact that this man is no longer human.

It's not just Uriel's vile appearance that gets under your skin, but the way everyone acts around him. The brothers witness the inhabitants' unease and hear warnings about how the Rottens' power has taken hold of the area. This observation indicates possession is a curse that will stop at nothing until everything in the environment is infected with its evil.

On top of that, this scene serves as a warning, since it lets viewers know things are going to be deeply disturbing from here on out.
