Thirst Generally, horror film makers usually have one main goal, trying to terrify the audience. They are not heavy on romance and love although they do have elements of it. Most of the time it's boy-saves-girl (or vice versa) from monsters or psychopaths and they live happily ever after. Or in the case of slasher movies, the couples who are expressing love get murdered. In the horror genre, love and romance are used to add depth the characters or mark them for death in some gruesome fashion. The thing is, love can be pretty scary on its own! The emotions felt can scare anyone or turn a rational human people into a ranting and raving lunatic. Or at the other end of the spectrum, love can empower someone to do almost anything, creating a strength within themselves they never knew existed.
