5. Shaun Of The Dead
Your first thought about Shaun of the Dead isn't going to be that it's a romantic story, but really, what's more romantic than a person fighting their way through hordes of zombies to rescue their lover and keep them safe from the apocalypse? At the heart of this zom-com is a touching tale of romance where Shaun is desperately trying to prove that he's a worthwhile partner to Liz, who is quite frankly sick of his bullsh*t for most of the movie. Fair enough really.
It might take the literal end of the world to get there, but Shaun's dedication to proving himself throughout his tumultuous relationship is as a big romantic move as any of the big hitters there. It just comes with a lot more smashing of zombie heads and pints than most, but who can argue with that stellar combination?
