4. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)

Diversity, the magic word that can weaken any Marvel film to date. Introducing Ms. Marvel as she is in the newer comic books would change that. Kamala Khan is not only a woman (obviously) but she’s also a Muslim, a great move for Marvel as a whole. Her powers include shape shifting and healing but, most importantly, Ms Marvel is an Inhuman and not a mutant. This makes her introduction an easy win for an MCU that can’t introduce the X Men.

She’s close to Miles Morales’ Spider Man in the current Spider Man run so could easily be worked into the current Spider Man films should Homecoming give Marvel a reason to greenlight a few sequels.

Who should play her? Jaylen Barron. Relatively unknown in Hollywood at this point Barron has had great runs on TV including the US adaptation of UK TV show Shameless. Ergo, she’s young and bright enough to be a match for Peter Parker. But Barron has also shown a lot of streetwise attitude, a quality every superhero needs.
