2. Kaecilius Attempts To Summon Dormammu
When poring over the stuff that was banished to the nether realm, it becomes apparent that Doctor Strange was almost a much darker movie than the one that made it to screens.
In this deleted scene Mads Mikkelsen's rogue sorcerer Kaecilius attempts to summon the malevolent mystical entity Dormammu during an unsettling ritual.
That chant is enough to give us chills, but things later take a turn from the bloodier when Kaecilius channels a blade and cuts down one of his brethren for lacking faith.
While Doctor Strange did a good job of establishing the Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU, including this scene and others like it would have given the film a more striking and differentiated tone. Mikkelsen clearly thrives on this stuff.
