10 Best Movie Characters Who Appear In Only One Scene

8. Thunderlips - Rocky III

Pulp Fiction
MGM/UA

Including the two Creed movies to date, the Rocky franchise consists of eight movies. And in a series made up of so many notable, great characters, one of the characters who most jumps out from the pack is Thunderlips.

Not quite hitting the ultimate highs of Hulkamania just yet, brother, Thunderlips was played by a Hulk Hogan who was at that time still competing for Verne Gagne's AWA promotion. Hogan's star was well and truly on the rise, and landing the role of Thunderlips in Rocky III was just one further rung in the ladder of the Hulkster's ascension to superstardom.

In Rocky III, Thunderlips turns up to take on Sly Stallone's titular Balboa for a charity contest of Wrestler vs. Boxer. That match would raise $75,000 for a local youth centre and ultimately end in a draw, but the fun was seeing the overmatched Rocky being slapped around for a bit by his cocksure adversary. Well, until Rocky turns the tables and throws Thunderlips over the top rope at the bout's conclusion.

Thunderlips may not quite be at the level of a Clubber Lang or Ivan Drago when it comes to the most memorable of opponents for Rocky Balboa, but no minor or one-scene character in the Rocky franchise is as much fun as the hulking Thunderlips.
