6. The Naked Gun (series)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54UdQP4H-jI Though the title sequence for the original "Police Squad!" series on which the Naked Gun films are based did feature the classic siren cruising around on-screen, it wasn't used with anywhere near this amount of imagination and hilarity. Though the three Naked Gun films were wildly inconsistent in terms of quality, they all had one thing in common, and that's fantastic opening credits. Each begins with a stereotypical scene from a cop movie - that's a car patrolling the streets - before the cop car ventures to a series of increasingly hilarious locations, such as a rollercoaster, and even a women's locker room at one point. With its zany opening theme and ridiculous absurdity, it is a perfect representation of what these films are, and gets us laughing hard before Leslie Nielsen even shows up.
