10 Best Revenge Movies Of All Time

1. Fist Of Fury - 1972

John Wick Chapter 3 Parabellum Keanu Reeves
Golden Harvest

It is fitting that the greatest action movie star of all time, Bruce Lee, should sit at the top of this list of kick ass revenge flicks. The plot is simple, and a fairly frequent theme in kung fu movies. A rival Japanese school poisons Lee's teacher and beats up his fellow students. Lee avenges. And then some. For the Bruce Lee devotee, Fist Of Fury, or The Chinese Connection as it was called in America, is far superior to the much more well-known Enter The Dragon.

The scene where the Japanese translator taunts Lee is a classic. Looking as if he's about to burst, Lee is restrained by the head of his school, but not for long. The following scene where Lee takes on the entire Japanese school totally revolutionised martial arts movies. There had never been an actor, or indeed a martial artist, with Lee's fighting skill. The camera just has to pull back and let Lee go to work. No tricksy camera cuts and angles - Lee does it all in a flowing, dynamic, dance of death.

The film that introduced most of the world to the nunchaku was also the first film that Lee dictated the way the fight scenes should look, unlike it's predecessor, The Big Boss. Lee was the master of fight choreography and he changed the way the world fought on film. You need to see this movie.
