Just as the series has evolved with Daniel Craig, it€™s still always managed to find ways to harken back to its glory days. Re-imagining the famous meetings between SPECTRE during the Connery years, Quantum Of Solace features the villainous members of Quantum sitting in the audience of Tosca and conducting a meeting right in the midst of the opera.

Having the cabal members speak amidst the crowd was inspired. The setting was practical enough to protect their identities, big enough to speak to their organization€™s scope, and more exciting than a bunch of people simply sitting around a table. This was only amplified by the opera€™s own themes of deception and revenge.

Of course, Bond is there to crash the party, snapping pictures of the members as they flee, and how fun it is to watch him when he has the upper hand. As this happens, Mr. White comically remarks €œTosca isn€™t for everyone,€ and wisely stays put.

The bizarrely stylish action sequence that followed felt a little out of place, but the meeting that preceded it set the standard for villainous get-togethers in the Bond era.
