10 Best Scenes From The Daniel Craig Bond Movies
3. Silvas Entrance (Skyfall)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FumW4wuqDeQLe Chiffre may have been a more believable villain but its hard to argue against the satisfying flash of Javier Bardems Raoul Silva. After only hearing of him in whispers and witnessing parts of his plan, Silva finally reveals himself to a restrained Bond, no less than halfway through the movie.
We can only glimpse him from afar as he slowly makes his way towards Bond in an uninterrupted shot where he tells the now-famous story of how they curbed the rat problem on his home island. Then finally, hes in front of us, in all of his blond glory.
What keeps the scene fresh is how its essentially a power play between the two spies. Silva tries to distract Bond by putting his hands all over him but when Bond keeps his cool, Silva immediately abandons the approach and switches tactics. Its a fascinating mental battle to watch between Bond and a character who is essentially an evil version of Bond.
Silva just wants to open Bonds eyes to M, and the way he does it was truly unique for the franchise. In this scene alone, he cemented himself as one of Bonds most iconic foes.
