10 Best Spider-Man Villains We've Yet To See In Movies

4. Black Tarantula

Spider Man Hobgoblin
Marvel Comics

Considering that tarantulas are the most boss variety of spiders around, it shouldn't be shocking to learn that Spider-Man has a foe named after one.

Debuting in 1997, the Black Tarantula is actually a title passed down from father to son.

There's never been a full explanation as to where this traditional came from; only a legend that the first Black Tarantula was a European explorer who trained with ninjas in Japan.

The alter ego of interest here, Carlos LaMuerto, is one tough dude.

He's got your standard super strength, super endurance, and super speed, but he's also got a neat little ability to heal from basically any wound.

Throw in some badass martial arts skills and laser eyes, and you've got yourself a recipe for trouble.

Not only has LaMuerto taken Spider-Man to his limit on multiple occasions, but he also has the added wrinkle of a wife and family. They serve as his one real weakness, adding some humanity to an otherwise merciless killing machine.

Whilst he doesn't have to be the main focus of the film, wouldn't it be amazing to watch Spider-Man do battle with a beefed-up, superior version of himself?
