10 Best Spider-Man Villains We've Yet To See In Movies

5. The Jackal

Spider Man Hobgoblin
Marvel Comics

Another Spider-Man nemesis to come out of the swinging 60s, The Jackal is a persona that was first used by brilliant geneticist Miles Warren.

Following the death of Gwen Stacy, who he was creepily in love with, Warren turned his intellect towards figuring out a way to kill Spider-Man.

The solution he came up with was to dress up as a big green jackal.

The suit became a way for Warren to distance himself from his evil actions, a "Jackal and Hyde" type situation, if you will. Though without superpowers to begin with, the character has since evolved super strength and speed in order to combat the arachnoid Avenger.

At present, the only film appearances of Gwen Stacy in her original form have been in the Amazing Spider-Man series. Seeing as those movies crashed and burned, it's not a surprise that there hasn't been room for a Jackal appearance.

Maybe if the movies can finally get the Peter/Gwen dynamic right, then there might be a spot for Warren and his jealous ways.

If Hollywood ever does decide it wants The Jackal, then it will have plenty of comic book stories to draw from.
