10 Best Star Wars Expanded Universe Stories

1. Knights of the Old Republic

Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic-wallpaper1 Set thousands of years before the original trilogy, Knights of the Old Republic was first brought to life with the X-Box video game back in 2003. It was followed up with a sequel in 2004. For all those gamers and non-gamers alike who just couldn't see themselves dedicating hours to these massive still turn based RPGs, no one blames you, but you still missed out. The great thing about KOTOR is that it offers a Star Wars that is pure and unexplored. Sure the universe and names are familiar, but its all new territory and gives the setting for key factors such as the sith and mandalorians, who are all but extinct by the time of A New Hope. Especially the sith. These games gave you the opportunity to play both as good and evil, rendering unto the player a different ending of the story depending on how they played. However, even if you decided to embrace the light side both games were still decidedly dark, filled with moral ambiguity, pants-wetting back stories, and mind blowing twists. A KOTOR movie would be the coolest thing ever. After Disney gets done beating to death six main characters and two droids there will only be one place left to turn: "A longer than the long time ago that you already know about, in the same galaxy far far away..." 866-1
