10 Best Uses Of Toys In Movie History

9. Ted

The most recent attempt to create a memorable movie toy has so far led to two instalments, commencing in 2012 with the snappily-monikered Ted. The title bear was the unlikely best mate of average Joe Lunkhead Mark Wahlberg. Ted does a lot of things we'd all like to do - booze about, get into wrestling matches with our mates, draw caricatures on womens' boobs and cosy up to Mila Kunis. He's closer to our raucous, fragile sense of masculinity that we'd care to admit. Though I can hear his voice in my head now telling me to stop being such a pansy ass. As with much of writer/director Seth MacFarlane's output, the films took a skewed look at an entertainment staple and gave it a tweak to make it subversive before releasing it on an unsuspecting public. This foul-mouthed furry friend ain't no Teddy Ruxpin. In fact if he saw Ruxpin he'd be liable to put him in Toytown hospital.
