10 Best Vampire Movies Of The 2000s
1. Let The Right One In (2008)
Let The Right One In has already made a name for itself as one of the best vampire flicks of all time - an instantly timeless classic which deserves to watched over and over again.
Tackling themes such as loneliness, love, prejudice and mortality, the film follows twelve-year-old Oskar (Kare Hedebrant), who moves into a new housing complex in Sweden and meets the moody and mysterious Eli (Lina Leandersson). Eli is a hundred-year-old vampire, trapped in the body of the child she once was, and though she tries to stay away from Oskar the two end up forming a close bond.
A tender and moving portrait of the outsider archetype, Let The Right One In shifts beautifully between a bittersweet tale of friendship and acceptance and a shocking story of bloodlust and murder.
Brilliantly directed by Tomas Alfredson and sporting some terrific performances from its young stars, this is a movie destined to become one of the greats of vampire fiction, and a future must-watch for anyone with a love for cinema.
