10 Best Villain Death Scenes In MCU History

Everyone loves a good villain. It’s not going too far to say that a good one can truly elevate a story, while a bad one can knock the stuffing out of it. The MCU has introduced a wide array of antagonists in this regard, but for all of their differences, they do all share one thing in common.

Whether the villain is strong or weak, with delusions of grandeur or merely a need to feed their family, they all eventually lose. Some will be incarcerated after their defeat, but a lot of the bad guys who decide to take on one or more MCU superheroes die.

A death scene, even that of a villain who audiences may have only been introduced to a couple of hours earlier, always has the potential to have a great impact on both the audience and the movie itself, whether emotionally or as a visual spectacle.

The MCU boasts plenty of both, and while there were some villains, like Strucker for instance, whose death no one really cared about, there have been some scenes of this kind that will live long in the memory.

The group of Thanos’ children known as the Black Order, when you think about it, were actually quite useless through the Mad Titan’s infinity quest. They were supposed to help him assemble the stones, but not one gem was placed into his gauntlet because of them.

Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, Corvus Glaive, and Proxima Midnight were four separate characters and died separate deaths, but for the purposes of this list, they can be grouped together. As villains, they served very much the same purpose.

All four of their deaths were quite ridiculous. Vision got revenge on Corvus Glaive as he stabbed him through the heart, while Bruce Banner in the Hulkbuster armour disintegrated Cull Obsidian by flying him into the force field that protected Wakanda. The two best however, were Maw and Midnight.

Also during the Battle of Wakanda, Proxima Midnight was savagely thrown into one of Thanos’ huge Threshers by Wanda Maximoff’s magic, while Ebony Maw didn’t even make it that far.
