10 Best 'Worst' Movies Of 2017 (So Far)

6. Underworld: Blood Wars

XXX Return Of Xander Cage Vin Diesel
Screen Gems

Released shortly before Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Underworld: Blood Wars is pretty much the same movie, with another stern-faced female lead in tight clothes kicking ass and taking names. There’s a sliver of plot, but it’s mostly just an excuse to string together the action sequences.

More engaging than Underworld: Awakening but still lacking the fire that director Len Wiseman brought to the first two instalments, Blood Wars follows Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fights vampires and werewolves and deals with betrayals most viewers will see coming from miles away.

The movie certainly looks the business, it’s paced well enough to hold your attention and the filmmakers have gone all-out to find a way to ensure that this entry stands out from its predecessors. Near the end of the picture (MASSIVE PLOT SPOILER AHEAD) Kate Beckinsale’s hair color changes slightly, upping the ante for all future sequels.
